Listening to the angelic voice of Norah Jones I’ve always imagined feeling that first ray of sunshine hit my face. The problem is - and I’m assuming others can relate - I’m not the most enthusiastic morning person. Yes, I get up before the crack of dawn for work most days but I’m usually still half asleep and focusing really hard on putting make up on to prevent scaring strangers with solely what God gave me.
Alas, a couple of wonderful and enthusiastic people from Hillsong on Campus decided to arrange a sunrise get together early last Saturday morning. I must admit, I wasn’t too keen at the prospect of waking up at 4:30am on my only day off but the lovely Bradley offered to add me to his carpool list. And boy was I happy I went.
We got to sit on the edge of the cliffs at Burrows Park and watch the sun slowly reveal itself from its ocean covers. A worship session later, we witnessed the appearance of a whale and a pod of dolphins decided to grace us with their presence. I couldn’t of asked for a better morning but then again He always gives us more than we can ever dream of.
Below are just a couple of pictures that I took. (FYI: they do not do the real thing justice!) #nofilter
